Name of the Award: Outstanding Contribution to Research in Immersive Learning Award.
Description of the Award: This award will be given to an individual, a company, or an academic institution that is determined to have made an outstanding contribution to research in immersive learning.
Rationale for Establishing the Award: We wish to recognize outstanding contributions, over a long period, to the field of immersive learning environments.
Eligibility Criteria: Any individual, company, or academic institution will be considered that has conducted research or dedicated contribution in immersive environments for learning over the past10 years.
Nomination Process and Timeline: Supporting documentation for this award should include a nomination letter, stating why a nominee is an appropriate candidate, and a current curriculum vita of the individual, company, or academic institution. A nominee must consent to the nomination, and the recipient or a representative of the recipient in the case of a company or academic institution is invited to make an address to the SIG-ARIEL Business Meeting held during the AERA Annual Meeting. Nominations must be received by January 31, 2016
