The Outstanding Contribution to Research in Immersive Learning Award
This award will be given to an individual, a company, or an academic institution that is determined to have made an outstanding contribution to research in immersive learning. We wish to recognize outstanding contributions, over a long period, to the field of immersive learning environments.
Eligibility Criteria: Any individual, company, or academic institution will be considered that has conducted research or dedicated contribution in immersive environments for learning over the past 10 years.
Nomination Process: Supporting documentation for this award should include a nomination letter, stating why a nominee is an appropriate candidate, and a current curriculum vita of the individual, company, or academic institution. A nominee must consent to the nomination. The nomination package along with documentation of nominee's consent must be submitted by email to Amy Kamarainen, the ARIEL Awards Chairperson, (email@example.com) by February 10, 2017.
Selection Criteria: We will consider a nominee’s body of research or contributions based on criteria of appropriateness (how well the work fits within research area of immersive virtual learning environments), innovation (how the work has brought new ideas to the field), and influence (how the work has influenced others in the field). We will make the determination based on the nomination letter and the curriculum vita of the individual, company, or academic institution.
